Saad Hariri
Saad Hariri is the leader of the Future Movement, which currently holds the majority in Lebanon's parliament. He entered the political domain in 2005 following the assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri. Since taking over the reins of the Future Movement, Saad has pursued his father's vision of a free, democratic, and modern country. Prior to politics, he held several high level roles in business as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Oger Telecom, Chairman of Omnia Holdings and a board member of Oger International Entreprise de Travaux Internationaux. Saad graduated with a degree in International Business from Georgetown University in 1992.

Saad Hariri was born in April 1970. He is married to Lara Al-Azem and has three children, Hussameddine, Lulwa and Abdul Aziz.

Saad Hariri is a graduate of Georgetown University, Washington D.C., with a Bachelor Degree in International Business (1992).
Career Information
Career Achievements
Between 1988 and 2005 Saad Hariri was the General Manager of Saudi Oger, a company that has a turnover of over 2 billion USD and around 35,000 employees. He was the Managing Director of the company from 1994 until 1998. In this capacity he managed one of the largest companies in the Middle East, which is involved in construction projects in Saudi Arabia, as well as in other parts of the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the U.S.A.
Saad Hariri has extensive experience in telecommunications and information technology. He was the Chairman of the executive committee of Oger Telecom, which pursues telecommunication interests in the Middle East and Africa.

In addition to Saudi Oger, Saad Hariri was also the Chairman of Omnia Holdings, and Board Member of Oger International, Entreprise de Travaux Internationaux, Saudi Investment Bank, Saudi Research and Marketing Group and Future Television.
Political Achievements
Political Achievements
Saad Hariri, Head of the Future Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, won the parliamentary elections in 2005, and again on June 7, 2009. Currently, the Lebanon First Parliamentary bloc is comprised of 41 MPs.

In 2007, French President Jacques Chirac awarded  Saad Hariri the "Legion d'Honneur" (Knight of the Legion of Honor).
